Diego is seventeen years old, and he owes his name to Pibe de oro, his father Franco’s idol. Diego is not interested in soccer, however; he is a thoughtful and all too submissive boy. He loves photography, films and literature and spends his days between school and the suburban neighborhood in Rome where he lives, to which he moved from Naples with Franco after the death of his mother. He photographs his surroundings, often marked by the constant clashes between residents and the immigrants who inhabit those areas. One day the son of boss Salvatore Abbagnale, the man who made Franco and Diego’s moving to Rome possible, is involved in an attempted murder that is also witnessed by his girlfriend, Tea. It will be up to Franco and Diego to hide her.
